We Need a Giraffe

On Thursday we made a big deal of daddy's birthday. J. was so excited to give him balloons -- a red one, a blue one, a purple one, a star one . . . (balloons are better than Coldstone icecream cakes, in case you didn't know). Well, today, he untied the balloons from the chair, and up-up they went to the top of the entry. When Amanda asked him how he was going to get them down, he put his finger to his chin, and said, "hmmm . . . let's see". Then, with firm resolve he exclaimed, "We need a giraffe!"
