Still In The Bathroom Sink

Jeremy still likes to watch mommy and daddy get ready for work in the morning. Earlier in the week I was in the shower when Jeremy started screaming and squirming. I jumped out dripping wet covered with soap and shampoo. I quickly realized that he had turned the hot water on himself! (He's surprisingly good with his hands.) Luckily, our hot water heater was turned way down. No more worries -- we have turned the water source off under the sink.

Rachel's sister-in-law Jill has a cute way of documenting her baby's growth -- photographing each month in the same car seat.

This works in the bathroom sink too. Check out this post from a couple of months ago.

Early Easter Egg Hunt

A beautiful Spring morning for our ward Easter egg hunt. The grass had just been aerated and as J sidestepped to avoid the dirt plugs, he screamed, "I keep stepping on dog poop!"

Goodbye To My Favorite Newborn Stuff

The newborn stage passed so quickly!

I was quite bummed at buying new baby stuff because I had given away or sold most of J's newborn things. But, this stuff still has a lot of life . . . I swear they still look new. I sold them on KSL.com and got half my money back.

Prop It With A Pillow

Unfortunately, this is what happens when mommy tries to work from home.

Note: pink bottle courtesy of Grandma Miess. It was a really good deal!

Mom's Two Boys

J now refers to Jeremy and himself the way I do "mom's two boys." Of course, he clarifies by adding "The BIG one and the little one."

Suspicious of the big black thing in mommy's face.

Big brown eyes!

Give Me Something to GNAW

Two bottom teeth. Boy, are they sharp! We know Jeremy is proud of his new stuff because he likes it when we reach in to feel them!

Now I Can't Wait for the Weekend

For nine months I've whined about buying a car that fits my family. I'm too pregnant to test drive . . . I can't get out with a newborn . . . I can't get out with the kids . . . I hate paying for a car that I ONLY DRIVE ON WEEKENDS . . .

How hard is it to buy a car? I saw it, test drove it, signed the papers, and drove it home in two hours . . . while Bill waited with the sleeping babies in the parking lot!

Now, I can't wait for the weekend!

Goodbye Toothless Grin

Jeremy cut his first tooth the day before his six-month birthday. No wonder he was fussy and feverish the three days before! We finally sought Dr advice regarding the red cheeks that come and go. We'll see if Hydrocortizone helps.

It's Not Fair

Our neighbors Tom & Michelle Gledhill lost their 11 month old baby Gracie this week. Her inspiring, heartbreaking story is at http://www.thegledhillfamily.blogspot.com/. Seeing a beautiful, chubby, healthy-looking baby in a casket broke my heart. How can it be survived? How can that heart-wrenching pain suffered by the parents and siblings that must say goodbye be survived? IT'S NOT FAIR!
